The Composite Building - Front entrance is to the right, Tom's room was in the wing to the far left, and is on the other side of that wing This picture was taken from in front of the Catholic Mission.

Boozer at one of his favorite places, the Main Entry. A little pat or two gained admittance to the Composite Building. Note the crappy concrete construction, the best Shemya had to offer.

Frequent outdoor conditions. The ubiquitous wind at the photographer's back is causing the snow to reduce vusibility. When Tom revised this on 21May17, the wind was a gentle zephyr of 46 MPH.

This is a glass ball that many Shemya-ites looked for on the frigid beaches. It was used as a float for Japanese fishermen's nets. Some people's rooms were crowded with the ones they had found.
